5 Tips on How to Stay Organised for School

September is officially here, aka back-to-school. We just need to accept the fact that the majestic summer is now over and be ready for school! Being organised is key when you're attending school especially in the first few weeks. It can really make a massive difference whether it's your mood or the progress of your learning, which is pretty important if you're moving onto Secondary Schools or higher years. So, the list down below is my opinions on what you can do to keep yourself organised throughout the year.

1) Diary/Planner/Notebook
If your school provides you with a free planner, excellent! If they   don't, well a diary or a planner will be your best friend for the         whole school year. Having a planner is what's going to keep you     the organised the most, since it allows you to note down and keep   in track of the due dates for your homework or events that will be   occurring. In addition to this, having a notebook is as well crucial   not only to your organisation but your learning too. It's where         you're going to record down all the notes and the important           information you've acquired from your lessons. You don't have to   get something expensive and fancy-pantsy, just get one that's           affordable, and what your heart desires.

2) Timetable
Always look after your timetable as if it's a piece of treasure!           Because forgetting what lessons you have particularly in the first     few weeks is inevitable. Therefore, your timetable will be your       greatest assistant as it shows you the lessons you have to make       sure you're never late! I suggest you keeping your timetable             somewhere that is easy to reach for but somewhere that is also       safe. For example, you can keep it in your inside blazer pocket, or   a zipped pocket on the outside of your bag.

3) NO Procrastination
Procrastination is a part of our human nature and is something we   bound to experience at some stage of our lives and it's                     exceedingly normal. If you do struggle with procrastination, I           advice you to write down the list of things you must accomplish       either on a post-it note or set it as a reminder on your phone. As a   result, the tasks you need to do will be completed with a lot more   effort and consideration, since you didn't rush. Honestly, from my   own personal experiences, getting things out of the way earlier       can really relief you can leaves you with so much less stress. For     example, if you know your approximate exam dates, revise a           month or even earlier beforehand can help you to achieve the         grades you're content with rather than leave it all to revise the         night before.

4) Organise Your Bag the Night Before.
A fantastic way to avoid being late to your lesson in the morning     is to pack your bag the night before you go to sleep. Therefore,       even if your're late in the morning, you don't have to worry about   packing your bag, which then saves you a ton of time to get             ready. If you're like me, you're anxious of what you might have       left out during your packing process, you can always make a list     of items you wanted to bring and check in the morning.

5) Keep Your Stationary in One
Some of you might be too lazy to bring a pencil case with you to     school, but having a pencil case for you is essential for you to be   able to keep all your stationary safe and organised. Letting them       loose in your bag can increase the chance of them staining your       books, clothes or your bag. You don't want that to happen, do           you...?

How to Have Strong,Healthy Nails!

Don't know about you guys, but having strong, healthy nails is a must to me. It doesn't matter if your nails are short or long, big or thin, as long as they're looked after immaculately, then it will be awesome! If you want to find out how to maintain your nails for them to be looking fabulous in their naked-selves, just keep on reading!

#1. DON'T BITE YOUR NAILS
You might have heard this a million times before, but biting your nails is equivalent to licking the toilet seat, as your nails are occupied with countless of revolting bacteria you've gained throughout the day! Besides, while you're biting, you'are bringing more nasty germs to areas such as your cuticles which may cause an infection. I understand it might be difficult to suddenly stop biting your nails, but be determined and say 'NO!'

#2 NEVER SAY NO TO A BALANCED DIET
Sometimes nutrients can be forgotten when it comes to the matter of nails. However, they do play a massive role in achieving strong, healthy nails. For example, taking in some sources of calcium each day such as milk, eggs, bread etc. can really strengthen your nails to make them grow faster and stronger. Fruits and  vegetables, meats and water can't be neglected either. By providing your nails with various calcium, proteins and vitamins each day can make a significant difference gradually.

#3 BASE COAT
Wearing base coat underneath the nail colour is absolute essential to me. If you wear nail polishes often, base coat will be your best friend due to its ability of preventing your nails from staining and becoming yellow. There are many types of base coat you can choose from. Personally, I like to use the ones that are anti-yellowing and provides you with a smoother base. The one I like to use and would recommend is the Bourjois Correcting Base Coat. I did do a review on it on my blog, if you're interested in finding out what I think of it, click here to read.

#4 HYGIENE
Make sure to wash your hands often to prevent the nasty bacteria building up in your nails!

#5 A BREAK IS NEEDED
I don't recommend you continuously painting your nails with nail polish, what I mean is that try to give them a break after you remove your nail polish you were wearing, not for long but a few days will be wonderful. Because your nails need to breathe too and despite how much I love and how addicting nail polishes are to me, they're chemicals. Therefore, they're not the best for your nails and having breaks is pretty important.

#6 MOISTURISING
Moisturising is key to achieve healthy, strong nails. I suggest applying hand cream for a few times throughout the day. Also, like I mentioned in my nail care routine post, I like to apply some almond oil to my cuticles to replenish the moisture back into them, and keep them looking smooth and fabulous! HOW TO: Reuse Candle Containers for Extra Storage!

In today's blog post, I'm going to show you step by step on how to re-use candle containers by cleaning out the wax for extra, but cute storage!
Step one
First of all, take your finished candle and pour some hot, boiled water into the container. Then wait for about 5-10 minutes for the wax to melt and detach from the container.

Step Two

After, you can see that the wax is softened by the greasy texture floating on the surface. This is then the right time for you to scoop out the wax with a spoon.

Step Three

After the wax is scooped out, there will be some excess wax left in the container. As a result, fill the container with more boiled water and leave it for about 2-3 minutes.

Step Four

There still will be a bit grease or wax stuck on the container after you poured the water out, so rinse the container with water and start to scrub the excess off with a scrubber and soap, as it works the best. Sponge can be an alternative too.

Step Five
To be able to get the tag off the container, rinse it with hot water and it should be easily peeled off.

Step Six
Next, wash the container with a sponge and soap to make sure the container is sparkling clean.

Step Seven
Finally, just dry the container off with a towel.

There you go,you now have a crystal clean container!
