REVIEW: L'oreal Lumi Magique Highlighting Concealer

When it comes to choosing concealers, the one that matches your skin colour correctly is definitely important for covering up your spots and blemishes however, choosing the one that is a shade or two lighter is brilliant for covering up your under eye circles and brightening up your under eyes. I've always used concealers that match  my skin colour under my eyes which usually does the job of covering up my dark circles, but I've never realized how much brightening under the eye area can freshen up my whole complexion, and makes me look like I'm fully awake, and ready to take on the day, when in fact I'm actually tired out of my mind.

The one I recommend using is the L'oreal Lumi Magique highlighting concealer which I just purchased last week. First of all, the rose gold packaging it comes in is gorgeous, anything that is rose gold just generally excites me, and with a couple of twists at the bottom, the product comes out of the brush. I just apply a fair amount under my eyes, not much at all, and then pat it into my skin with my finger in a sort of triangle shape under my eye to achieve a highlighted look. You can as well apply it on the bridge of your nose and the top of your cheekbones to have a healthy glow on your skin. You must make sure to blend well either with a brush , sponge or your finger. It only comes in two shades which are 'light' and 'medium'. I find that 'medium' is the perfect shade for me.This concealer or highlighting pen makes a whole a lot difference and if you look very closely in the mirror, you can see the very fine shimmers it has which reflect the light and give you an illuminating finish. It has a low to medium coverage and a little definitely goes a long way. Also the consistency of it is excellent, it can last up to about 8 hours.
You can purchase it for £8.49 at any drugstore (click here to see).

Nail of the Day + Review : OPI 'Lincoln Park After Dark'

A gorgeous maroon red is for sure the colour to wear in winter time, but why not spice it up and wear a mysterious deep purple accented with a purple shimmer, giving you an audacious look.

I recommend 'Lincoln Park After Dark' by OPI which is actually quite a popular colour of theirs. I do love a nice, deep purple especially in the colder months and what I love about it most is that it can appear to be black in the distance, but when you look closer you can see the mysterious purple hidden behind. Two coats of it were definitely needed for me as it came off quite streaky on the first coat. Nevertheless, I was pretty impressed of how bold, and pigmented the colour instantly became after the second layer. (I have the mini version that came in the OPI Take Ten set)

You can purchase OPI nail polishes at Debenhams or Selfridges, but sadly 'Lincoln Park After Dark' is not available to buy from there, however you can purchase it on Amazon (click here to see).

To revitalize this very dark purple on my nails for the festive season, I added a layer of purple shimmer on both of my ring fingers using 'Baby Bellini' from the Rimmel London Cocktail Colour in a Flash collection. This looks divine as an accent colour especially on top of the deep purple. You can purchase it at the drugstore for £3.99. Click here to see.

REVIEW : Estee Lauder Pure Colour Lip gloss ( Gift set of three)

Last week, I received a gorgeous set of three Estee Lauder lip glosses that came in a shimmery pink makeup bag as an early Christmas present. They are all in the shade of pinks which are very versatile to wear everyday if you prefer a natural look.

The first colour is in the shade 'Pink Innocence' (21) and it's a shimmery baby pink with a lot of fine glitters which makes your lips super glossy but this might not be the one for you if you're not a fan of having glitters on your lips.

The second colour is in the shade 'Extravagant Pink' (26). Hence from the name, it is another pink however this one is brighter and more vivid. This again has a fair amount of glitters in it, which as well make your lips look slightly shimmery.

The final colour is in the shade 'Brazen Berry' (04). This unlike the others,
does not contain any glitter at all and is a dark , nudy rose colour which coats your lips with a layer of beautiful shine.

The packaging of them are very chic and definitely up my valley however it is different to the regular packaging of their range of Pure Colour Lip glosses, and I think its because they're part of a gift set.

I don't have much to talk about about the formula of them. They have a decent amount of colour pigmentation and they certainly offer you with a great amount of shine, and gloss with their soft, doufer applicator. Obviously, their lasting power is not as long as higher pigmented lip sticks or stains, so I would say that they last up to maximum 3 hours. Nevertheless, the only cons about them are that they are sticky and my hair always stick to them which is annoying but it is something I find they almost every single lip gloss does. Also, I'm not a fan of the smell of them as they have a weird scent to them but aside from that, I thoroughly enjoy using these lip glosses a lot! Definitely a strong 8/10!

Sadly I can;t find the exact link to them but click here to view the range of the Estee Lauder Pure Colour Lip glosses.

Nail of the Day + Review : Essie 'Splash of Grenadine'

This is the second nail of the day + review since the one I did back in March. It is when I do a review on a particular nail polish and show you how I coordinate it with another nail colour on my nails!

Essie 'Splash of Grenadine' is actually the only Essie nail polish I own and one of my friends has kindly gave me this for my birthday in September. This by far is the most gorgeous purple I've seen in the drugstore. It is not a typical pastel purple nor a dark or royal purple. It is hard to explain the actual colour but the best I can describe is that it's a pinky purple. Because of its unique stunning colour, I just cannot take my eyes off it.

Not only the colour is out of the world, its formula is definitely the best I've tried in the drugstore by far. The brush that it has makes the application so smooth and easy. You can certainly get away with one coat only due to its impressive pigmentation. You can get any Essie nail polish for £7.99 at Boots or Superdrug .

With this nail polish, I decided to pair it up with the Rimmel London Space Dust nail polish in 'Aurora' on my ring finger as an accent colour( read my previous review here). Both of these beautiful nail colours together just look absolitely incredible and chic. I think that this has to be the best nail combo I've ever made.

REVIEW : Estee Lauder All Over Face Deluxe Compact

I've never been a blush kind of gal but as soon as I discovered how much blushers can change your life, my addiction began.

Maybe I over-exaggerated my love for blushers but they've truly been my holy-grail products for the past month or so! And the one that I've been truly obsessing over  is the Estee Lauder All Over Face Deluxe Compact.

I've been using this compact almost every single day, it includes three powder blushes, one translucent powder and a small brush which probably you're not likely to use. Two of the blush colours are slightly shimmery and the other one offers you with a matte finish. They aren't the greatest pigmented blush colours but they definitely can create a beautiful wash of colour on your cheeks without it looking like you have a blob of pink paint on your cheek! It is certainly very suitable to use everyday for any occasion as it gives you a natural look but also allows you to build up. I just love it when blushers can brighten your complexion and adds an extra something something to your face!

The packaging looks very luxurious and it is convenient to carry around all day in your bag as well especially since it provides you with a decently-sized mirror inside.

'Petal' is a light pink colour with a slight sheen to it which will look very natural on your cheeks.

'Pink Kiss' is a coral colour that is slightly iridescent as well.

'Nude Rose' has been my favourite colour to wear for the past weeks and the reason for it is that for me, it kind of acts like a bronzer/blush at the same time! So I would always apply it a bit below the apples of my cheeks where the usual contour area is, and it just creates this beautiful look which faintly defines your complexion but also the colour itself is gorgeous for autumn/winter or even anytime of the year!

This translucent powder is great for setting your foundation or to control the shine on your face. Personally, I like to use it to set the concealer under my eyes.

I don't think that it's still available for you to buy from Estee Lauder as it came in a part of a set a couple of years ago. Nevertheless I have found a link to where you can buy this from on Ebay -  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/361118886920?limghlpsr=true&hlpv=2&ops=true&viphx=1&hlpht=true&lpid=108&chn=ps&device=c&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0-L&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=108

REVIEW: Rimmel London 60 Seconds Nail Polish - 'Rose Libertine'

I'm back with another review on another gorgeous colour that I'm currently loving! Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of wearing bright, classic pink nail polish, so sometimes it's kind of tricky for me to find a pink that I love and suits my skin tone. But now, I have finally found it.

The Rimmel London 60 Seconds nail polish in 'Rose Libertine' is the perfect one!The colour itself is a stunning rose pink that has a warm undertone which I really enjoy as it will look so much better against my warm undertone. Also, this colour is very similar to the Butter London 'Trout Pout' which I sadly do not have a swatch for, but I love. So, if you've always wanted to get 'Trout Pout' from Butter London, this colour from Rimmel London is so much more affordable and have pretty much the same colour! Bonus!

Now, let's talk about the formula! The formula of this nail polish is not amazing, but it's pretty decent enough for you to have a smooth process of applying it onto your nails. I used two coats of it, but you can certainly get away with one depending on your personal preference. Something that I'm not 100% satisfied with is its lasting power. The second day after I applied it, it chipped on the tips of my nails already! But it's nothing major at all.

You can find this nail polish in any drugstore for £3.69. Here's the link to the Boots website if you're interested in checking it out: http://www.boots.com/en/Rimmel-60-Seconds-Nail-Polish_867420/

REVIEW: Revlon Matte Balm 'Sultry'

I finally tried out the Revlon Matte Balm after its release way back in November. I'm a little late but I absolutely do not regret buying it at all.

First of all, the formula is something I love the most about this product. The formula is the smoothest I've ever experienced in a lip product from the drugstore, as it also leaves you with a soft, velvety finish just like it claims to do.
As a result, it leaves my lips feeling moisturised even with its matte finish. Plus, quite interestingly, it somehow gives me a minty tingle to my top lip, which is something new but it feel great due to the fresh feel it offers you with.

This comes in a range of 10 fantastic colours, that varies from orange, pink to red and darker plums. The colour that caught my attention the most is 'Sultry'. This lip balm has an amazing pigmentation which offers you with a rich, plum colour that can look stunning on every skin tone without any patchiness. It is the perfect colour for autumn and winter. In addition, the colour lasts for an incredibly long time, for approximately 4-5 hours.

Furthermore, this lip balm is retractable which is very versatile, so you don't need to worry about it running out any time soon!

This is priced for £7.99 at the drugstore, if you're interested in purchasing it, here's a link to the Boots website : http://www.boots.com/en/Revlon-ColorBurst-8482-Matte-Balm_1416281/
